FAQ

Spectate and Oh Dear

Is Spectate cheaper than Oh Dear?

Per endpoint, usually. Spectate Team is €48 a month for 80 monitors and unlimited members; Oh Dear Agency is €149 a month for 50 sites. But an Oh Dear site includes broken link, mixed content, performance and cron checks, which Spectate doesn't offer.

Can I import my sites from Oh Dear?

There is no importer. Recreating a monitor takes a minute or two, and help@spectate.net can help with a longer list.

Does Spectate check broken links or mixed content?

No. Spectate focuses on availability: HTTP(S) with keywords, ping, TCP, DNS, mail servers, certificate chains, domains and servers. For website quality checks such as broken links and Lighthouse scores, Oh Dear is the better fit.

What does Spectate add over Oh Dear?

On-call rotations and escalation paths, phone calls you acknowledge by pressing 1, incidents with roles and postmortems, a Slack app with incident channels, and alert sources for Grafana, Prometheus and Sentry.
